Creating A New Daily Habit...

Living your life to your fullest potential requires commitment; a commitment to yourself to do what it takes to become the very best version of yourself. There are many ways in which to do this. One of the best ways to change your way of being in the world, is to change your thoughts. I'm sure you've heard the saying, "Change your thoughts, change your life". Changing your thoughts will literally change the way in which you look at the world, as nothing in life has any meaning, accept the meaning that you give it.

You can begin changing your life by implementing a new daily habit such as, reading The Optimist Creed to yourself, first thing in the morning, for 30 days. Try it. It takes very little time and it can make a big difference in the way you see the world. I've included a modified version for you below. Try this, and let me know how it works for you. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

All my best to you!

The Optimist Creed

I Promise Myself...
To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of
others as I am about my own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a
smile to every living creature I meet.
To give so much time to improving myself that
I have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side,
so long as I am true to the best that is in me.

An Attitude of Gratitude...

If I knew three years ago what I know today, I would have just begun... somewhere, anywhere... as long as I was moving towards my dream. Pursuing my dreams and life's passion has proven to be the most fulfilling feeling ever!

Words cannot begin to express my gratitude towards everyone who contributed to the successful launch of Lifestyle Makeovers. I am truly humbled by your efforts.

What I know today for sure, is that it truly takes a team to build a dream.

I want to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone who supported the launch of Lifestyle Makeovers. Belief in a dream is part of the equation.

Thank you to everyone who attended the launch; I enjoyed you and I hope the workshops were as powerful for you as they were for me.

For those who are contemplating the pursuit of your dream, I say this to you... Just get started somewhere, anywhere... When you step out on faith and pursue your dreams, the resources show up to help you become a success.

Until next time.... Move towards your dreams and live with passion!

All my best to you,

The Greatest Gift of All...

Have you ever encountered another woman who you thought was beautiful... and you shied away from her because you feared you might not measure up? What were you feeling? What were you thinking?

When you do this, your actions say, "I'm not enough and I'm not comfortable in my own skin", and you cheat yourself and others out of new possibilities. You miss the opportunity to meet new people and you miss the opportunity to truly be yourself.

I’d like to make the request that you to shatter that thought that says, "I'm not enough", because you are. You are more than enough!!!!! You are a beautiful woman! There will always be someone who is taller, shorter, thinner, thicker, lighter skinned, darker skinned... you get the idea... Some of the most successful models were teased as children because of their long necks, big foreheads and long legs. What makes the human species so interesting and so beautiful is that we are all different!

Did you know that the beauty industry is a billion dollar industry?! Billion dollars!! I want you to know that there is no expensive cosmetic and no retail therapy that can give you the inner strength that comes from being happy, just being you.

When you love yourself, you no longer feel the need to compare yourself to anyone else. There's no need. You live your life more authentically, because you are embracing your truth.

Today, look in the mirror and smile. Look at that fabulous woman standing there! The woman in the mirror will no doubt be smiling back at you. She loves you. Love her too. And, the next time you encounter a woman whose beauty makes you feel a little bit uncomfortable, look her in the eyes, smile and say "Hello".

All my best to you...

So Much to be Grateful For...

Have you ever stopped to fully immerse yourself in the life you've created - even if it was just for a moment?

I went to the beach this morning and I took a walk to clear my head. Halfway back down the seashore, I stopped to take it all in. The water looked so peaceful and serene. The air was fresh and the sun was beginning to shine. I just stood there for a few moments, and I started giggling as I realized that it was 8:30 Monday morning and I was walking on the beach... I was not in a business meeting or sitting in an office wishing I was somewhere else (as I frequently hear from friends); I was on the beach. This was not the first time I'd been on the beach at 8:30 on a Monday morning; but there was something about being in that very place at that very moment that was so exilarating!

For so many years I have held this vision for what I wanted my life to be; and today, as I stood there humble and grateful, I realized that I am living my life's purpose and I am exactly where I should be. That moment was so quiet and so rewarding... As I looked out at the water, I began thinking about all of the people that I wanted to feel what I was feeling.

I eventually continued to walk, and as I approached my car, I noticed words on a plaque set into a park bench that said "People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges".

As I thought about all of the wonderful bridges that will be built with Lifestyle Makeovers, I acknowledged that this was indeed the perfect ending to a walk for which I am so grateful.

I encourage you to take a moment to stop and look at the life you've created for yourself. Is it the life you truly want? Does it give you the warm fuzzies? George Eliot said, "It's never too late to be what you might have been".

We're all a work in progress. My hope is that you have that awareness. You can create a life that gives you joy. It all starts with a thought...

All my best to you....

The Day Has Come...

After several months, and many, many hours of diligant work... a new site is born... Welcome!
